January 2012 Saying goodbye to Nonna. Sempre nel cuore!

We lost our dear sweet Nonna almost one year ago on Jan 16.

She accepted me into her family and always had a smile for me, even in her later years, when she no longer spoke.  She made the most beautiful window coverings. She even made me a custom white linen door covering, dotted with red cherries.  I need to iron it and post a picture!

I adore her wonderful cutlets, which I make with chicken:

Cotolette di Nonna

Pound chicken breast pieces until thin.
Dip and cover pieces in this order:

  Flour

  Egg

  Breadcrumbs
Saute each side until golden in olive oil mixed with a pad of butter.

Serve with creamed potatoes.
